Aloha and welcome to our new 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in the spacious Ekolu Village which is part of the 5-star resort of Wailea.  We had such a great time last year remodeling our first Wailea condo in the Grand Champions complex and meeting so many interesting guests from all over the world, we thought we would love to do it again given the right situation.  We take great pride in providing our guests the amenities and luxury they expect in a 5-star resort community and wanted to make sure we found a location that fit this criteria.  Most important to us is “The View”. Wailea mornings provide tranquil ocean views, the afternoons incredible blue skies, and the evenings provide sunsets that are just spectacular.  Couple this with whale watching in the winters and we knew if we bought another condo it would have to have an even more spectacular view than our first! 

We found this spectacular view in the Ekolu Village this spring but by the time we could make it to Maui the property had gone into escrow.  By a stroke of luck the property fell out of escrow and was placed back on the market the day we were leaving Maui!  We now look forward to sharing this good fortune with you!

When you see the view you’ll know why we choose this property.  It is greater than 180 degrees spanning from West Maui, to Lanai, across Maellea Bay, above the Wailea Resorts, past Molokini, and even beyond the island of Kahoolawe.  Some condos provide fantastic sunsets part of the year, this one guarantees you’ll get to experience the spectacular Maui sunsets no matter what time of year you visit!  You’ll overlook the beautiful Grand Wailea which is gorgeous both day and night.  You may even catch a fireworks show from your lanai.  Ekolu #1108 is a unique unit in that it extends beyond its neighbors on all three sides.  Further, it sits in the front of the top half of the complex ensuring a commanding view well above the lower units.  Unlike many complexes with views from only one room, Ekolu has oriented its units parallel to the view.  While this requires more land (Ekolu has over 18 acres of manicured property) it allows for views from the living room, dining table, kitchen, and master bedroom.  The master even has its own private lanai, as does the second bedroom. 

We completed our remodel in November 2006. We purchased all new furniture, bedding, linens, electronics, kitchen utensils and cookware, serving sets, kid supplies, etc..  Everything is new!  We also refinished the gorgeous wood cabinetry in the bathrooms and installed granite countertops with travertine backspashes.  We refinished the beautiful kitchen cabinetry, installed granite countertops and professional stainless steel appliances, and a new sink and faucet.   We look forward to having you as our guest.

Beaches
10 minute drive to the less commercialized beaches south of the resorts like Big Beach (our favorite), Little Beach (know before you go, its not legal but clothing optional), black sand beaches in the lava fields (incredible snorkeling).  Maui is known for its beautiful and diverse beaches.  Do yourself a favor an see as many as you can.  We like to get up enjoy breakfast listening to the birds, take in a good snorkeling beach in the morning, return for lunch on the lania and maybe a nap, then hit a nice sunbathing or wave riding beach in the afternoon.  Follow this up with a cocktails watching the sunset in the winter or grilling out and watching the sunset over dinner in the summer.
